Join us on Sunday, April 26th at The Pilot for a daytime show featuring Toronto-based singer-songwriter, Julia D’Angelo. A queer, multidisciplinary artist weaving music, film, and dance into her work, Julia’s live sets offer an intimate, genre-expanding take on her original songs alongside a selection of classic, beloved covers. Rooted in jazz and folk, her music draws sonically and thematically from artists like Fiona Apple, Ani DiFranco, and Nina Simone - blending strong storytelling, smoky vocals, and subtle experimental textures.
Backed by Toronto fusion quintet Mr. Beeper, the set opens up into a fuller, high-energy sound, bringing together jazz, folk, R&B, and global influences, while staying rooted in the honesty of the writing.
