UpFRONT Festival: Zeegwon Shilling

Zeegwon Shilling is a 20-year-old Anishinaabe actor, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Toronto and Wasauksing First Nation who is beginning to share his voice with audiences around the world. A self-taught pianist and vocalist with a lifelong passion for performance, Zeegwon first captured widespread attention in 2018 when a video of him singing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” went viral, earning more than 600,000 views online. Through heartfelt songwriting and soulful performances, he continues to emerge as a powerful new Indigenous voice in music and storytelling. This is a free event. All are welcome to celebrate Indigenous artists and culture as part of the UpFRONT Festival.
