Toronto Country Fest: Gregory Child’s & Heart Lung

Gregory Childs & Heart Lung are a Toronto alt-country, roots, and rock ’n’ roll band with a sound Alan Cross described as “unplugged Nirvana” and “dark Fleetwood Mac” when he featured them in The Edge 102.1’s Undiscovered Gem series. A regular presence in Toronto’s music scene, the band plays rooms including the Cameron House, Dakota Tavern, and Horseshoe Tavern. On July 17, they released their self-titled debut album, showcasing a blend of alt-country, folk, and red-dirt roots rock. They currently hold a monthly residency at Rod, Gun & Barbers in the Junction, playing the last Saturday of every month.
