There is something dazzling – beguiling even – about the music of Darcy Windover. Standing at the crossroads of Americana, roots-rock, folk and country, the Toronto-based singer/songwriter and admitted gear nerd is that rarest of musicians, one whose songs are at once instantly accessible yet utterly unique. His songs charge along like a freight train, while the ballads are heartfelt and anthemic. Darcy is joined by Clayton Yates, a staple in Canada’s roots scene on guitar and mandolin, and featured in such groups as The Mahones, The Empty Glasses, and countless others.
