Spotlight on Women: DAPHNE

DAPHNE delivers immersive, high-energy performances designed to make audiences feel everything all at once. Her music captures a euphoric and cathartic energy, blending alternative pop with a fully independent creative approach. DAPHNE is completely hands-on in her artistry, producing her own music, directing and editing cinematic music videos, incorporating 3D animation, and designing limited merchandise as an extension of her creative world. An award-winning songwriter, DAPHNE received the 2024 SOCAN Foundation Young Songwriters Award and the 2025 NXNE Garage Band People’s Choice Award. Her music has appeared on the BBC series Boarders, SiriusXM’s The Verge, Billboard Canada, RANGE Magazine, and Spotify editorials including All New Pop, Indie Pop & Chill, and Fresh Finds Canada. This program is in partnership with City Hall Live, a City of Toronto program that creates paid opportunities for local bands and provides accessible live music experiences for residents and visitors.
