Beny Esguerra & New Tradition Music is a Toronto-based ensemble exploring the intersection of ancestral Colombian traditions and contemporary urban culture. Led by JUNO-nominated producer and artist Beny Esguerra, the group blends the Indigenous kuisi bunsi flute (Colombian gaita), Afro-Colombian rhythms, Hip Hop, spoken word, dance, turntablism, and design. New Tradition Music has received multiple JUNO Award nominations and has released acclaimed albums including Somos El Dorado (2025) and Eterno (2024). Recent international co-productions with Los Gaiteros de Ovejas, Gaita Loop, and Quimbaya Uhuru position the ensemble as leaders in innovative, cross-cultural collaboration.
