Lancelot Knight is a Plains Cree singer-songwriter, actor, activist and creator of original theatre content from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and is the son of Juno Award winner Chester Knight. With his powerful voice and masterful guitar skills, Lancelot’s live performance is an electrifying fusion of music and storytelling, with original songs spanning genres from soulful ballads to high- energy anthems.
With previous bands, Knight has toured throughout Europe and across North America, and whether through acting or music, his emotions and energy ring out with every performance. He has played live on National Television, and was featured on popular TV shows, such as APTN’s “Guilt Free Zone”.
Embarking on his solo career in 2022, Lancelot has had numerous singles chart in the top 10 of the Indigenous Music Countdown and he has been honoured to be an Official Showcase artist at Folk Music Ontario, Departure Festival and Mundial Montreal, as well as performing at Folk Alliance International. Lancelot was the winner of the Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Awards 2024, Rock Artist of the Year.
Knight’s debut solo album is set for release in 2026 via Merilainen Music Inc. In the year leading up to this highly anticipated release, he had the privilege of performing at prestigious festivals such as Mariposa, Live on The Waterfront, Trout Forest and Peterborough Folk. He also performed at the legendary Hugh’s Room in Toronto and opened for Black Belt Eagle Scout and Aysanabee. With offers already coming in to perform at prominent music festivals in 2026, Lancelot is on track to wow audiences across Canada and beyond.
