Indigenous Spotlight Series: Gladwyn BadgerUnion Station Summer Plaza

Event Details

Our Indigenous Spotlight Series highlights top contemporary Indigenous music artists on the scene, in partnership with Meriläinen Müsic Inc. Meriläinen Müsic Inc., founded by Marc and Laura Meriläinen, is a majority Indigenous owned full-service record label providing professional music industry services to emerging and established artists. Meriläinen Müsic Inc. is committed to advancing and promoting the careers and opportunities within the music industry for all artists while also specializing in serving the Indigenous Artist community. Gladwyn Badger is an Indigenous instrumental surf-inspired musician and artist whose music is fuelled by reverb-driven guitars. Often compared to the mood of the Tarantino film Pulp Fiction, his sound moves beyond traditional surf into something he calls Rez-Rok. His debut EP Renegade climbed the Indigenous Music Countdown and peaked at #2—an uncommon milestone for instrumental surf music. Gladwyn’s latest single, “Rack ’Em Up,” builds on that momentum with a punchier, rock-forward sound shaped by the early sounds of Rock ‘n Roll. With new music on the way and a growing live presence, Gladwyn is building on the success of his past work while continuing to expand his sound
