A World Music Concert Duo Perse-Inca returns to Alliance Française Toronto nearly four years after their acclaimed Spadina Theatre performance. Showan Tavakol and Federico Tarazona – rooted respectively in the musical traditions of Iran and Peru – have built a repertoire that moves seamlessly between improvisation and co-composition, setting the Iranian kamancheh and the Andean charango in genuine dialogue. Their album Echoes of the Mountains charts a journey across continents and through the ages, delivered with mastery and warmth.
