Carla & Latintrain are a vibrant musical ensemble founded by lead vocalist Carla Gonzalez-Casanova over 12 years ago. The band was born from a shared passion among talented musicians to celebrate and promote their South American roots through music, creating a rich and dynamic sound that takes listeners on a journey through colorful and diverse cultures. Blending Latin rhythms such as bolero, cha-cha, son, salsa, and cumbia — with a touch of jazz — Latintrain delivers an energetic and engaging experience. With songs performed in both Spanish and English, the band connects with diverse audiences, creating a festive, feel-good atmosphere. For over a decade, Latintrain has performed across the GTA and beyond, proudly representing their heritage at festivals including Carabram, Carassauga, Cobourg Latin Festival, Panamerican Jazz Festival, Celebration Square, Dundas Square, Inti Raymi, Southside Shuffle, and many more.
