Caldher

Chinese-Canadian artist Caldher takes inspiration from his upbringing, painting this dichotomy through his songwriting. His list of musical influences is vast; from the sounds of classic Chinese orchestral music to Canadian punk rock bands introduced by his sisters, his ever growing love for musical exploration continues to this day. Graduating from Humber College for a Bachelor of Music, Caldher blends his deep musical repertoire and jazz training to craft his own brand of indie songwriting. Drawing comparisons to artists such as Radiohead, boy pablo, and grentperez, Caldher drives his melancholia-tinged lyricism with facets of his own alt rock, R&B, and jazz influences. Receiving grants from FACTOR and Ontario Arts Council, Caldher released his 2nd EP, Momentary, on November 22nd 2024. An eclectic indie rock sound backdrops his narration of living in the present amidst the anxieties of growing older. $10 tickets online.
