Bill Wood and The Woodies

It was such a drag to cancel last month. I’m feeling great and the band is on board!! We promise to deliver the goods!! Bill Wood’s songs have been described as “what happens when 30 years of songwriting, honed over decades of hard life experiences, meet the craftsmanship of a career musician who doesn’t know what it means to compromise.” Paired with the sweet sounds of Burke Carroll’s pedal steel and resophonic guitars, these songs take on the aura of old favourites with a brand-new feel. Bill & Burke perform original songs that range from heartbreaking ballads to classic country shuffle. You’ll swear you’ve heard those songs before. Bill & Burke play 5 pm – 7 pm the first Sunday of every month in the Southern Cross Lounge.
