Nathan Hiltz

Nathan Hiltz is a Toronto-based jazz guitarist who specializes in trad, bebop, and solo guitar styles. He is an instructor at Humber College and artist in residence at Grace Church on the Hill. Nathan has toured and recorded with Jill Barber, Alex Pangman, Ori Dagan, Drew Jurecka, and Brandi Disterheft to name a few. His new group, 'Thermo', is co-led with Ottawa pianist Mike Manny. Their debut album ‘Birdlike’ has been heard on Jazz FM and Saturday Night Jazz on CBC. Since 2021, Nathan has led ‘Tiny Guitars’ - a weekly group guitar class for over 30 children and adults at Grace Church on the Hill. Classes are held at the church and all instruments, materials, and instruction are provided at no cost to families.
