Running Rivers

Running Rivers is a Toronto band made up of three local musicians: Zeeshan on guitar, Abbas on tabla, and Prince on vocals/bass. Their music infuses the spirit of South Asian classical and folk traditions into a variety of musical styles, including alternative, rock, jazz, and blues. Their writing explores the wonders and the insignificance of the collective human experience with the intention of bringing people together, building understanding, and celebrating life. Each of the musicians brings unique colours, moods, and resonance from their varied palettes of expression and experience to create a sound that is at once modern and ancient. Their music is deep, raw, resonant and uniquely Canadian. Since coming together in early 2022, Running Rivers has performed around Toronto and the GTA, and they released their first EP, “Speckles” in 2024.
