CONTXT by Trane and Caliban Arts Theatre present an upcoming jazz series featuring pianist Eddie Bullen and bassist Etric Lyons, joined by special guests. Longtime collaborators and friends for over 40 years, Bullen and Lyons bring together a shared history that began with their 1980s band Age of Reason and continues today through a project that blends jazz standards with subtle Caribbean and Calypso influences. Both musicians are respected figures in the Canadian music community, with extensive experience as performers, producers, and composers. Their performances at CONTXT will highlight a thoughtful mix of original arrangements and familiar jazz pieces, reflecting the depth of their collaboration and the easy musical rapport that comes from decades of working together.
