Toronto Country Fest: Tommy Belmont

Known for his authenticity, Belmont is paving a new lane in Canadian Country music by fusing the grit of old-school hip-hop with the storytelling soul of country. Getting his start in music from a Grandmother who lovingly capitalized on a young boy being able to carry a tune, and a local theatre company offering an alternate route to daycare the family couldn’t afford – Tommy found himself as a natural on stage. Belmont has made his Country debut with the 2026 release “Ghost” that marks a clear evolution toward songwriting that keeps the rhythm, attitude, and storytelling that defines Tommy Belmont.
