- Ease into your week with Monday Blues at Union Summer, featuring two shows of blues music showcasing a range of artists.
- Brooke Blackburn is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose work with the Blackburn Brothers reflects a sound rooted in blues, soul, and funk traditions. The group carries a strong musical lineage, drawing inspiration from their father, R&B legend Bobby Dean Blackburn, and a long history within the Toronto music scene.
- Their music blends storytelling with musicianship, honouring blues heritage while pushing the sound forward through contemporary arrangements. The Blackburn Brothers have performed alongside artists such as Mavis Staples, Dr. John and The Nite Trippers, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Cedric Burnside, Sarah McLachlan, Colin James, and The Bros. Landreth, and continue to appear at major blues, jazz, and folk festivals across North and Central America.
- The Toronto Blues Society (TBS) is a non-profit charity committed to promoting and preserving the rich legacy of the blues. As the organization celebrates 40 years of championing this genre, it continues to honour its roots while supporting future generations of artists.
- This program is in partnership with the Toronto Blues Society (TBS).
