Afro Brasilica

Afro Brasilica is a multidisciplinary creative residency that champions sound, movement and conversation. Rooted in music, including but not limited to: Brazilian Samba, Afro-Latin, Latin Jazz and more, the project expands on the idea of community cultivation through shared expression within CONTXT. Through dynamic DJ sets, visual art, poetry, dialogue, guest performances, spirited libations and curated tapas, Afro Brasilica weaves a limitless, intentional approach like the rings of its latter-namesake wood; intricate and unique, yet, connected and intersectional.
