8pm- Matthew Coldwell & Donovan Locke @Pamenar Cafe

Join Matthew Coldwell and Donovan Locke every Tuesday for an intimate jazz experience at Pamenar Cafe. Each week they invite a different instrumentalist to explore a new music dynamic – they have previously featured Adrian Gross (mandola), Michael Eckert (pedal steel guitar), Dawson Chamberlain (acoustic guitar) and Fraser Melvin (electric guitar), check our listings to know who’s on the coming week!

Thursdays

8.30pm- Top Hat Thursdays @La Palette

A late night acoustic experience with Nat Beja, Mo M Mitchell and Taylor Maslin playing their favourite jazz and swing standards at La Palette. Bring your best top hat to blend in with the rest of the staff!

10pm- The Down and Out @Cloak and Dagger

The Down and Out are a horn heavy eclectic roots rock’n’roll band playing the wide tapestry of roots music from soul, blues, jazz, country and western swing to ska and rocksteady.
The core band is composed by Ollie del Mastro (vox, guitar), Daniela Torres (alto sax), Shaylynn Anderson (tenor sax, vox) and Devon Goping (bass, vox). Frequent guests include Geraden Smith (guitar), Madeline Currie (trumpet), Celine Tchang (trombone), Daniel Bado (guitar), Lucas Redwood (cajon, percussion).

6pm- Toronto Jazz Collective @Motorino Citta

Weekly on Thursdays and Fridays at 6PM, Toronto Jazz Collective‘s Weekly Music Series at Motorino Citta with TJC’s talented roster of solo performers – each week a different musician from the collective.

Fridays

7pm- Tak Arikushi & Alex Fournier @La Rev

Fiery hot swing rhythms in the style of Django Reinhardt back some of the most exciting talents of Toronto’s jazz scene at La Rev on Friday nights. Tak Arikushi (gt), Alex Fournier (bs), perform with a third rotating guest seat making each week a special, one-of-a-kind evening. A long standing residency starting in 2014 with the band, Les Petits Nouveaux, it restarts with a new lease on life after a hiatus forced by the pandemic.

7pm - Camp Combo @Grossman's Tavern

Every first Friday of the month. With Fred Spek, Nichol Robertson, Alan Zemaitis and Tim Shia. Oddball cover songs, original tunes and exuberant playing form a wacky hybrid of pop/swing/jazz and polka.  TV themes, surf, and maudlin ballads… Vintage musics for the future!

9.30pm- 20's - 30's Swing Jazz with Combo Royale @Grossman's Tavern

Every first Friday of the month. “This is Drinking Jazz, not Thinking Jazz”. Join Ralph Pastore, Charlotte McAfee-Brunner, Chris Adriaanse, Brian Sasaki and Steve Wellman!

3.30pm- The Happy Pals @Grossman's Tavern

The Happy Pals New Orleans Party Orchestra, based in Toronto Canada, swing authentic old-time New Orleans Dance Music. They’ve been featured every Saturday at Toronto’s legendary Grossman’s Tavern for over forty years, and have attracted literally generations of fans. The Happy Pals play down-to-it rockin’ tunes you can dance, sing or just hang out to – blues, hymns, pop songs, marches, calypso, even a jazz song now and again! Tunes by Kid Thomas, George Lewis, Tom Waits, Louis Armstrong, Elvis, Fats Domino, Johnny Cash, Glenn Miller, Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, you name it! It’s live, stompin’ jazz music for all occasions, and it’s Big Fun. Don’t miss it.

8pm - Jazz+Two @Café On The Hill

[JAZZ+TWO] is a Toronto based duo with Noah Shopsowitz on Roland keyboard and vocals, and Joe Spina on 5 string Fender bass. They are known for their jazzy pop arrangements of classic jazz and pop tunes forged into a unique musical experience.

7pm - Nat Beja Trio @Bar Pompette

The Nat Beja trio is a pint sized version of Viper’s Cloud jazz and swing ensemble. Lead by vocalist/Jazz manouche guitarist Nat Beja and accompanied by clarinetist Jacob Gorzhaltsan and upright bassist Chris Adriaanse, the group’s repertoire focuses on curating lost and forgotten songs from the golden era of jazz, along with other Latin songs influenced by Nat’s upbringing in Mexico, and interpreted in the style and spirit of Django Reinhardt.

9pm - The Ole Fashion @The Alpine

Every Sunday at 9pm. With a combined way-too-many-to-admit-to years of experience playing everything you can imagine in acts all around the world, the 5 members of The Ole Fashion have always been happiest playing what we know everyone enjoys: classic tunes no one ever gets sick of. That means tried and true tunes from, yes, The Beatles, The Stones, The Band and Neil Young, along with deep cuts from the likes of Tom Petty, Linda Rhonstadt, Glen Campbell, Elton John … the list goes on.
