Marias Quest is a solo melancholic folk project fronted by Kevin Z. that started after taking a song writing class with Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief) and a home recording class with Philip Weinrobe. Since 2024 Marias Quest has released "IT WAS THE SUMMER OF THE MOTORCYCLE" a collection of punk and folk songs. It was followed up by Juniper, a dark folk song that shares lineage with bands like Bright Eyes and The National
