Ethnosonic is a Toronto-based musical ensemble that fuses the rich folk traditions of Circassian, Armenian, and Ukrainian cultures with contemporary jazz and ethnic fusion. Co-founded by world-class musicians Aslan Gotov, Viktor Khomenko, and Sar Kamlér, the band creates a unique soundscape where ancient melodies meet modern rhythms. Their music is characterized by fast-paced, rhythmically complex instrumental pieces interwoven with the soulful tones of the Armenian duduk, taking audiences on a multidimensional auditory journey.
By blending traditional folk rhythms and scales with innovative jazz elements and improvisational techniques, Ethnosonic crafts music that is both authentic to its roots and pioneering in its execution. Their performances celebrate cultural heritage while introducing fresh, innovative interpretations, aiming to captivate and connect audiences worldwide. Ethnosonic stands as a testament to the multicultural fabric of Canada's music scene, inviting listeners to experience a vibrant fusion of sounds that transcends borders and resonates deeply with the soul.
