Dinner Show at La Rev Cocina & Cantina with two fantastic songwriters!
SILVER REEDS is the indie alt-folk solo project of singer-songwriter Sandy Zelazny.
Living in a similar songwriting space to Nick Drake, Adrianne Lenker, and Bruce Cockburn, the music of Silver Reeds is emotive, melodically concise, and poetic. Each song easily captures the attention and the heart of the listener, with a refreshingly honest edge of rawness, wit and strangeness.
Canadian artist MIMI OZ is an experimental vocalist with the ability to jump between genres seamlessly. A folk based songwriter channeling 50s and 60s pop, jazz tinged, soul driven, and rock’n’roll charged original songs crafted from the heart and New York City.
“Mimi Oz can write anything”, Delarue-NY Daily Music.
Oz’s songs are rooted in the art of storytelling, with writing that often revolves around intertwined themes of love, politics, and feminism. Know for her lyricism and roots in poetry, her performances are designed to stir emotion and pull listeners into a world of warmth and nostalgia.
Oz has a multitude of full production albums available online, and and currently on tour for the month of August, covering the Great Lakes region as well as Manitoba, Toronto, and parts of upstate NY.
Oz was dubbed “Oz” by the legendary, notorious, Dr. Bob Wiseman, who discovered Mimi at the Tranzac club in Toronto and went on to produce her debut record “Three of Swords”
